  • Welcome to First Grade!
  • Last Week of School Events!!!
  • May 29th
  • School Holiday
  • Memorial Observance
  • May 30th
  • Park Day @ Cochran's Green Park 8:30-10:00
  • Your child should wear something cool and tennis shoes.  Parents will be providing water bottles and popsicles.   Parents are welcome and may meet us at the park at 8:30. Please, no younger siblings as it will already be crowded with all classes at the park. Also, please park at Powell and walk over to the park.  The neighborhood gets too crowded when we all try to park over there.

  • May 31st
  • Game Day
  • Your child may bring any board or card game to play with a friend.  The children are responsible for keeping up with all of the pieces.
  • Read and Share Day
  • You need to bring 5 books that you would like to read and share with your classmates.

  • June 1st
  • Last Day of School/Early Dismissal
  • This is our last day of school.  School will dismiss at 12:10. Students may bring a disposable lunch/snack to eat (this keeps us from forgetting our lunch kits), but do not have to.  We will have “lunch” at 10:00.

HOMEWORK:
We encourage students to read every night for 20 minutes.
Please practice your monthly sight words.
Any incomplete work that comes home may be completed for homework.
Also, Daily Math Review and Language Review Sheets go home on Tursdays after we complete them. It is always a good idea to reviwe these sheets with your child. We usually have a Quiz on both every two weeks.
